Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra has attained the position of one of Slovakia’s leading universities in the period since it was founded in 1952. The University is consistently rated in the top group for the high quality of its teaching and research in the Slovak Republic.

The University of Agribusiness and Rural Development was established 27 years ago as an independent college for higher education offering programmes in the field of Agrarian sciences. In 2011 it underwent transformation to become a university profiled in the field of Agribusiness and rural development, offering higher education qualifications at EQF levels 6, 7 and 8. The University is accredited until 2023 and currently houses over 4000 students in its three campuses in Plovdiv (the main campus), Veliko Tarnovo and Ruse.
